Ownership
Camela Racing will be offering a
number of forms of ownership and syndication:
- Lease arrangements as a member of our Racing Club from £50
per month
- Lease ownership in a syndicate of 4 to 20 people
- Lease ownership of 2 to 4 people
- Shared ownership in a syndicate of 4 to 20 people
- Shared ownership of 2 to 4 people
For leasing there will usually be no up-front
entry cost as the ownership of the horse is responsibility of the
owners. The only costs to the lessees is the monthly fee of £50.
The lease agreement will include 30% of prize money which is allocated
to the owners as a whole. There will also be a purchase clause which
allows the lessees to purchase the horse at any time at a valuation
determined by a bloodstock agent, to be appointed by agreement.
The lease period is usually 3 years.
Racing Syndicates of 5 to 20 Shares
For ownership through racing partnership and syndicates the costs
per share for each horse will be identified and will normally consist
of two components:-
- Up front purchase of the ownership share. The amounts will
differ within each syndicate depending on the number of syndicate
members.
- A percentage of the monthly training fee payable once syndication
is finalised – the monthly fee will cover all costs associated
with training, caring and developing and racing your horse so
this is the only fee you will need to pay. It is a set fee but
it does not include major extraordinary veterinary costs or
costs associated with major races. You can pay monthly, quarterly,
yearly or for three years up-front. It is Camela Racing's policy
to calculate the monthly training fees using an average over
three years. This means that you will have certainty on the
monthly fee for your budget purposes for the first three years
of the syndicate, with the exception of any extraordinary costs
mentioned previously.
